If you are a veteran and looking for quality life insurance, you may have come across some road blocks.  If you have a pre-existing condition or are over the age of 50, you could be facing higher life insurance rates, and some veterans can’t find a quality policy at all depending on their situation.  Luckily, the Department of Veterans Affairs may be able to help qualified individuals find veterans life insurance.

According to the Department of Veterans Affairs website, life insurance policies are available to US veterans and can offer additional help finding supplemental coverage.  Public law allows Veterans’ Group Life Insureds to purchase additional coverage on each 5-year anniversary of their coverage.

There are multiple options to meet the needs of veterans looking for life insurance.  There is insurance for service disabled veterans as well as veterans group life insurance options.  There are multiple life insurance programs to meet the needs of a variety of veterans serving in various wars.  United States Government Life Insurance is available to WWI issued from 1919 to 1951.  National Service Life Insurance meets the needs of WWI from 1940 to 1951.  Veterans’ Special Life Insurance insures Korean War veterans from 1951 to 1956.  To view all of the different life insurance options and request more information, visit the Department of Veterans Affairs website.
